What is Pregabalin Sandoz and what is it used for?
Pregabalin Sandoz belongs to a group of medicines that are used to treat epilepsy, neuropathic pain and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in adults.
Peripheral and central neuropathic pain: Pregabalin Sandoz is used to treat long-term pain caused by nerve damage. Different diseases can cause peripheral neuropathic pain such as diabetes or herpes zoster. Feelings of pain can be described as hot, burning, throbbing, shaking, puncture, sharp, stiff, severe soreness, stinging, tingling sensation, needle puncture.
Peripheral and central neuropathic pain can also be associated with mood swings, sleep disturbances, fatigue (tiredness) and may affect physical and social functioning and quality of life as a whole.
Epilepsy: Pregabalin Sandoz is used to treat some forms of epilepsy (partial seizures with or without secondary generalization) in adults. Your doctor will prescribe Pregabalin Sandoz to help treat your epilepsy when the treatment you are taking does not lead to your condition. You should take Pregabalin Sandoz in addition to your current treatment. Pregabalin Sandoz is not intended for single use but should always be used in combination with other antiepileptic treatments.
Generalized Anxiety Disorder: Pregabalin Sandoz is used to treat Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Symptoms of GTP are long excessive anxiety and worry, which are difficult to control. GTR can also cause anxiety or a feeling of agitation or nervousness, easy tiredness, difficulty in concentrating or white fields in memory, feeling irritable, having muscle tension or sleeping problems. This is different from the stress and strain of everyday life.
